AMB Company is an Egyptian joint stock company works in numerous fields such as: 1. Import and export. 2. Contracting and supplies. 3. Engineering consulting. 4. Commercial agencies. AMB aims to use the solid experience of its individuals in mechanical and electrical fields, automatic control & management to support companies in different industrial fields to increase productivity, raise efficiencies and hence decreasing production costs, and consequently increasing profits. à ¼ AMB provides several technical services : v Consulting & solutions for problems coming out of mechanical and electrical breakdowns to achieve high degrees of reliability to decrease costs and leading to profits increase. v Providing different designs for automatic control systems using â € œ PLC " . v Performing mechanical and electrical installations for new projects and also revamping and upgrading the existing projects. v Providing spare parts and direct & indirect production requirements such as: BOLTS, SHEETS, OILS& GREASES, BEAMS, HYDRAULIC UNITSâ € ¦ etc. v Performing different maintenance activities such as: repairing maintenance and preventive maintenance. v Overhauling as AMB has a group of special engineers and technicians . v AMB sets preventive maintenance system including engineering inspection for different equipments in the plant using " Master Sheets and Check Lists " that determines the inspection methods and its necessary times to define the breakdowns and making the necessary operations in case of certain breakdown to prevent damages that could cause stopping of the plant or the product line . " The preventive maintenance system can save ( 15% - 20% ) of the cost that could be spent for the repairing " . v AMB uses the latest methods of engineering inspection as : à ¼ Vibration measurements and analysis. à ¼ Laser alignment and balancing. à ¼ Thermography technology. à ¼ Oil analysis. à ¼ Preparing the electrical inspection sheets à ¼ Determining the necessary tests for motors and transformers and their frequency to assess the electrical equipment conditions. AMB performs periodic measurement for the equipments through ( VIBRATION ) to determine the rotor equipments' status as : fans, compressors , pumps , motors & etc...... and makes a monthly report and addressing the required recommendations for each equipment, and performs urgent measurement if needed as well. à ¼ AMB uses a simple system to perform the preventive maintenance This simple system doesn' t need purchasing costly programs as Oracle or SAP. It links between the inspector, processor, warehouse and maintenance, which gives the following benefits: 1- Determining responsibilities and assuring the deliberation of work orders 2- Controlling the needed spare parts from the warehouse. 3- Making sure of performing job orders as needed. 4- Setting history card for each equipment.
